Welcome to the Cowichan Valley Car Picnic

a project of the Rotary Club of South Cowichan (Mill Bay)

and car enthusiasts from Vancouver Island

The Cowichan Valley Car Picnic was started by a group of friends in 1985, who decided it would be fun to take their cars for a drive through the country and stop for a Picnic Lunch somewhere. One of these was John Queen, who was a House Master at Brentwood School. He suggested we use one of the playing fields at the School. From this idea of a "fun" event for "Car Nuts" or "Petrol Heads"and their families. The Cowichan Valley Car Picnic grew into what it is today. The best "fun" car event on Vancouver Island and also the longest running.

This year the picnic will be held on:

Sunday, August 11 , 2013 ( our 28th year! )

Location: Main Field, Brentwood College - Mill Bay

Entry Fee: $15

Once again the Rotary Club will provide a food concession.

For those driving in the Convoy, please meet at the Valley View Shopping Centre (junction of TCH and Cobble Hill / Cowichan Valley Rd) at 10:30 am.

Convoy will leave at 11 am

Note:

The location this year is the same field that we have used in previous years.

(It is not the field that we used last year.)

We have been advised by Brentwood College, that this will be the last year that we may use this field.

Organizers are searching for a new location for 2014.
